Nock on Strange: Joseph Carnevale is my HERO!

Maybe “hero” is pushing it just a little…but he totally represented creative types with a little badassery on the road in North Carolina. Carnevale created a 10′ barrel monster out of stolen orange and white safety barrels. Unfortunately Carnevale got arrested and the police took the barrel monster apart. LAME. In response, hundreds of people from Rahleigh wrote letters saying that they liked the monster and they lobbied for charges to be dropped.

As cool as the barrel monster is… there’s more to the story that makes me love this guy! Carnevale was already on probation for the alcohol-related theft of a motorboat about 2 1/2 years ago. When asked about it, he said of his previous offense, “It wasn’t really a big deal. I had been kayaking around on this lake and was very intoxicated and decided I didn’t want to paddle anymore. So I hopped in a boat that had the keys in it and drove around for a little while, and then put it back in the dock that was not the dock I had found it at.”

I feel like we could be friends.
